🏁 Onboarding Guide
Onboard your business with this quick start guide to get your Sloane AI receptionist up and running
- Visit hi-sloane.com/onboarding
- Choose a business onboarding method:
- Connect Google Business Profile
- Enter your business name
- Auto-complete will find your business based on your location
- Sloane will train on your Google Business Profile data
- Connect Your Website
- Enter your business's website
- Sloane will train on your business' website data
- Traditional Form
- Enter your business details in the form
- Sloane will train on the data you input
- Watch Sloane train on your data:
- ⬆️ More data entered means ⬆️ more data Sloane trains on
- Add additional data later after onboarding
- Listen to the Greeting Preview:
- 🎧 The greeting demo will play automatically
- This is an example of how Sloane sounds when she answers calls
- You can adjust the greeting after you complete onboarding
- Choose a user signup method:
- Google OAuth
- Email Verification
👍 Verify Your Business Profile Is Accurate
Once you've completed onboarding, it's a good idea to look at your Business Profile and make sure everything is accurate
- Log into your Dashboard
- Click on Business Profile in the left sidebar
- Look over the following inputs to ensure they're correct:
- Business Name
- Industry
- Business Website (if you have one)
- Business Address
- Business Phone Number (your existing number)
- Timezone
- Business Description
🥸 Pro Tips
- Your Business Name and Business Description are the most important inputs when training Sloane -- make sure they are accurate
- If something is missing or inaccurate, write your changes in the input field and press the green Save button

🎖️ Add Additional Training Data
Once you've completed onboarding, we recommended adding additional data to your Dashboard to train Sloane -- this allows her to answer callers' questions about your businesss more thoroughly
- Log into your Dashboard
- In the left sidebar, click Business Info to expand the following tabs:
- Business Hours ➡️ Customize when your business is open/closed ➡️ Read: Customize Hours Guide
- Services & FAQs ➡️ Customize what services your business offers ➡️ Read: Customize Services Guide
- Services & FAQs ➡️ Customize what products your business sells ➡️ Read: Customize Products Guide
- Services & FAQs ➡️ Customize frequently asked questions about your business ➡️ Read: Customize FAQs Guide
- In the left sidebar, click AI to expand the following tabs:
- Click Greeting ➡️ Customize the way Sloane greets your callers ➡️ Read: Customize Greeting Guide
- Click Take Message ➡️ Customize the way Sloane takes messages from callers ➡️ Read: Customize Greeting Guide

Once you've completed Onboarding, it's time to test Sloane and make sure everything sounds apt for your business
Before You Call
- Have your phone ready
- Prepare some test questions about your business
- Think about common customer inquiries
When You Call
- The Greeting: Listen to how Sloane greets you at the beginning of the call
- Ensure it sounds appropriate for your business
- Read the Customize Greeting Guide to modify
- Business Hours: Ask Sloane when your business is open
- Ensure Sloane provides accurate answers
- Read the Customize Hours Guide to modify
- Services/Products: Ask Sloane kind of services or products your business sells
- Ensure Sloane provides accurate answers
- Read the Customize Services Guide or the Customize Products Guide to modify
- FAQs: Ask Sloane your businesses' frequently asked questions
- Ensure Sloane provides accurate answers
