Unconditional Call Forwarding to Sloane with Cisco Webex Calling

๐Ÿ“ฒHow to Forward All Incoming Calls to Sloane

Webex App (Desktop & Mobile)

  1. Open the Webex App.
  2. Click your Profile (top-left on desktop, top-right on mobile).
  3. Select Settings (or Calling on some versions).
  4. Go to Call Forwarding.
  5. Enable Always Forward Calls.
  6. Enter your Sloane Number.
  7. Click Save.

Webex Control Hub (Admin)

  1. Go to admin.webex.com.
  2. Navigate to Users.
  3. Choose the user whose calls you want to forward.
  4. Select Calling โ†’ Call Forwarding.
  5. Enable Always Forward.
  6. Enter your Sloane Number.
  7. Save changes.

Forward When You Don't Answer

Configure โ€œNo Answer Forwardingโ€ in the Webex App or Control Hub:

Forward When You're Busy

Enable โ€œBusy Forwardingโ€:

Webex App โ†’ Settings โ†’ Calling โ†’ Call Forwarding โ†’ Busy โ†’ Forward To: <Sloane Number>

Forward When Unreachable (device offline / network issues)

Set โ€œDevice Unreachable Forwardingโ€ in Control Hub or the App:

Webex App โ†’ Settings โ†’ Calling โ†’ Call Forwarding โ†’ Unreachable โ†’ Forward To: <Sloane Number>

Turn Off Conditional Forwarding

Disable each rule in the Call Forwarding panel:

Webex App โ†’ Settings โ†’ Calling โ†’ Call Forwarding โ†’ Disable all conditional rules

Common Mistakes

  • Editing only one call state (Available, DND, etc.) and assuming it applies to all states.
  • Not realizing Webex forwarding rules are separate from desk-phone (MPP) local settings.
  • Expecting wireless carrier star codes to work โ€” Webex Calling uses PBX routing rules only.
  • Forgetting to test calls from both Webex App and desk phone.
