How to Forward Incoming Calls to Sloane for 8x8 Users

Unconditional Call Forwarding to Sloane with 8x8

📲How to Forward All Incoming Calls to Sloane

8x8 Work App (All Calls)

  1. Open the 8x8 Work app (mobile or desktop).
  2. Tap your Profile icon.
  3. Select Call Forwarding.
  4. Enable Forward All Calls.
  5. Enter your Sloane Number.
  6. Disable by toggling off.

8x8 Admin Console (All Calls)

  1. Log in to the 8x8 Admin Console.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. Select the user/extension.
  4. Open Call Forwarding or Call Handling.
  5. Enable Always Forward.
  6. Enter your Sloane Number and save.
  7. Disable by turning it off.

8x8 Desk Phones (All Calls)

  1. Press the Home or Menu key.
  2. Select Features or Call Forward.
  3. Choose Always.
  4. Enter your Sloane Number.
  5. Press Enable.
  6. Disable by selecting Disable.

Conditional Call Forwarding to Sloane

👨🏿‍💻8x8 Uses PBX Routing — No GSM Conditional Forwarding Codes

8x8 does not support *61, *67, *62, or any mobile conditional call forwarding codes.

Instead, simulate conditional forwarding using:

  • Forward When Busy
  • Forward When Unanswered
  • Forward When Offline (device unreachable)
  • Ring Group Failover
  • Auto-Attendant Routing
  • Find Me / Follow Me

Each option can forward to your Sloane Number.

Common Mistakes

  • PBX rules in the Admin Console override Work App settings.
  • A desk phone may require a reboot after enabling forwarding.
  • Star codes (*21, *61, *67, etc.) do not work with 8x8.
  • If calls still ring your desk phone, update forwarding under Call Handling for the user.
